The rigidity of beauty standards is preserved in whiteness and in a person’s proximity to it. White feminism does not begin to consider the difficulties of women of color, one being a sense of belonging and identity, and general confidence in themselves. White feminism is concerned exclusively with the issues that impact white, cisgender, able-bodied women, and causes the erasure of all others who identify as women.
